Opportunities for concrete in the quest for a carbon neutral future is the subject of a keynote address from Mark Chrzanowski, P.E., of engineering giant CH2M Hill, scheduled for NRMCA’s Fourth Annual Concrete Technology Forum. Under the theme Focus on Performance Prediction, the May13-15 event in Cincinnati will engage researchers and practitioners in discussion of latest advances, technical knowledge, continuing research, tools and specifications that involve test methods and modeling to predict concrete performance and service life.
More than 30 speakers are scheduled to present topics ranging from strength and durability to workability and sustainability of concrete construction. Joining the Carbon neutral future address on the keynote line up are Performance-based specifications and testing, from University of Toronto’s Dr. Douglas Hooton; How to assure performance through intelligent standards, from CTL Group director and consultant Anthony Fiorato; and, Latest advancements in nondestructive testing, from consultant Dr. Nicholas Carino. Concurrent with the conference will be an expo featuring companies that offer products and services for testing and modeling concrete.
